Become a City Fruit member!

2018 was a big year for City Fruit. We launched the Harvest for All expansion campaign that grew our service to include ALL neighborhoods in Seattle and select communities in South King County. We also introduced the new membership program structure that now asks trees owners to become a member in order to have City Fruit harvest their fruit. Thanks to these two initiatives, we were able to grow our harvest and membership program significantly in 2018. In fact, now about 75% of City Fruit members are tree owners, and they represent almost all neighborhoods that we serve.

City Fruit has been active in some of the neighborhoods for almost 10 years (South SeattlePhinney/GreenwoodWest Seattle) while we are still quite new in others (Capitol HillNorthgate and downtown/city center were the latest additions in 2018). Northeast Seattle was added only in 2016 but look how quickly it's becoming one of our most represented neighborhoods!

City Fruit membership not only provides much needed financial support to sustain our harvest program, but it also means buy-in from our community. It represents endorsement from the people who believe in our mission, and their active participation in growing the harvest, sharing the fruit, and building community. Our hope for this year is to further grow our membership (and harvest) program in every corner of the city, and foster deeper connection in each neighborhood that we serve. And YOU can help make that happen by becoming a member today!

Remember, City Fruit membership is for EVERYONE. Whether you own a fruit tree, enjoy fresh local fruit, or simply want to be part of the community that cherishes our city's urban orchard, there’s something for everyone when you become a City Fruit member.
