City Fruit Celebrates, our biggest event of the year, is a mere two weeks away! It's hard to believe sometimes how the seasons sneak up on us. But with the harvest wrapping up, holidays on the way, and vibrant leaves decorating Seattle's sidewalks, now feels like a good time to extend thanks to some of the folks who help keep us going.
These rad companies will be sponsoring City Fruit Celebrates this year -- we are extremely grateful for their continued support, and look forward to raising a glass with them (and all of you) on November 9th!
Whole Foods Market has been a trusted partner to City Fruit for many years, and is the lead sponsor of our 7th annual fundraising event. We love getting to partner with Whole Foods for their dedication to healthy food, education, supporting local communities, and environmental stewardship. In the past, Whole Foods stores have been host sites for City Fruit events, and they also carry our cider (made by Seattle Cider Company), helping to connect our organization to the greater Seattle area.
At City Fruit Celebrates, we'll be lucky enough to borrow a couple of lawn games from our local market -- corn hole and life-sized Jenga! We feel that these assets (and the willingness to share them) speak to the spirit of fun and collaboration that Whole Foods cultivates. Engaging with communities around their stores and their mission is a central part of the Whole Foods entity. Plus, who doesn't love life-sized Jenga?
We hope you'll enjoy a game or two at City Fruit celebrates!
Photo Booth Sponsor
BECU is the largest credit union in Washington state, and we are thrilled that they'll be sponsoring our photo booth at City Fruit Celebrates!
Just like us, BECU is a non-profit, built up of members, and with a goal of giving back to the community. Per their website, "As a credit union, our goal is to serve communities – to empower people through financial education, affordable financial services, and products that prioritize financial health. As a cooperative, the more people that work together, the stronger we are."
We at City Fruit can certainly relate to that, and we're delighted to be working together with BECU to make this event special. Be sure to stop by the photo booth at City Fruit Celebrates to have some shots taken! Harvest props and fun hats will be provided to help folks commemorate the evening.
Tasting Glass Sponsor
A Seattle institution, Capitol Cider is the largest independent cider bar in the country, and will be sponsoring our tasting glasses at City Fruit Celebrates. When we all raise a glass on November 9th, we'll be raising a Capitol Cider glass (to Capitol Cider)! This Capitol Hill landmark embodies many things we love about the Pacific Northwest -- the tradition of cider, the lore of apple growing, picking, and preparing, and a strong sense of place.
It's a pleasure to work with Capitol Cider at every chance we get, and we are doubly excited to partner with them for our biggest event of the year.
Capitol Cider also generously volunteered to provide appetizers for City Fruit Celebrates. We look forward to tasting their always gluten-free creations -- if you've ever paid them a visit on Capitol Hill, you must be as eager as we are!
Charlie's Produce is a fabulous company, supplying a full rance of produce items to restaurants, grocery stores, and wholesalers. Charlie's will be our centerpiece sponsor for City Fruit Celebrates! We cherish this ongoing partnership. Many other local nonprofits and service organizations receive aid from Charlie's, including Food Lifeline, FareStart, and Washington Women In Need. Part of the Charlie's Produce mission is a strong belief that "there is a clear connection between the health and profitability of a company and the general wellbeing of the community in which it does business."
We're grateful that we get to share some of this love with the City Fruit Community. We hope everyone will enjoy the harvest-themed centerpieces that will brighten the room on November 9th!
Cider Press Sponsor
One of the main attractions of City Fruit Celebrates (besides life-sized Jenga) will be an on-site cider pressing, sponsored by GLY Construction.
This is an exciting partnership for us, and an opportunity to get to know a really cool company. As GLY puts it: "GLY is grateful to be part of a community where people care and inspire each other to take action. We’re all challenged by many needs, yet motivated by what our collective efforts can accomplish. Together we can do so much more." GLY also shares our love for this great city, and the embraces the duty of environmental stewardship, stating: "The Pacific Northwest is our home and we want to preserve the quality of life – for our children’s children."
We hope all our guests will get to enjoy some fresh, delicious apple cider during City Fruit Celebrates, courtesy of GLY!
Alpenfire Cider, Seattle Cider Company, & Tieton Cider Works
Gift Bag Sponsors
These three amazing cideries will be providing beverages for City Fruit Celebrates -- and as if that wasn't enough, they also hopped on board to sponsor our gift bag. Thanks to their generosity, all event attendees will get to head home with a canvas gift bag (a fruit picking bag for next year's harvest -- if you're into that sort of thing!) filled with goodies from all of our sponsors.
We are beyond honored these companies have offered to share their resources, and help make City Fruit Celebrates an evening to remember. If you haven't bought your tickets yet, it isn't too late to join us on November 9th! We'd hate for you to miss out on lawn games, harvest photos, cider pressing, rustic decor, gluten-free appetizers, and a limited edition canvas gift bag. Come and celebrate with us!
