SUMMARY:Free beginner top grafting workshop at McAuliffe Park
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a fruit tree grafting workshop on Wednesday\, 6/21 from 5-7 pm at McAuliffe Park in Kirkland to learn more about this age old form of plant propagation!  In this workshop\, we’ll discuss what grafting is\, review the differences between top grafting and bench grafting\, and practice splicing and securing techniques for top grafting. If time allows\, we’ll also discuss other techniques such as propagating using plant cuttings and air layering. We are currently limiting workshop participation to 15 individuals – please register here: https://secure.lglforms.com/form_engine/s/UI1OwNwUFGM4OycetBw7yg \nWe encourage you to bring any grafting tools you may have to practice with\, but we will have a number of grafting knives available to borrow! Please come prepared for rain or shine–dressed in closed toed shoes and clothes you are comfortable getting potentially a little dirty.
