2026 Volunteer and Education Opportunities
Thanks for your interest in volunteering with us! We love all of our volunteers and look forward to you joining us! We provide on-site introduction to tools and practices and also welcome experienced volunteers who can share their knowledge with those getting started.
Orchard Stewardship Volunteer Opportunities
The easiest way to join us is through our orchard stewardship work parties, during which you’ll learn basic tree care skills while also supporting our public orchards across the Greater Seattle area! Our volunteer events ensure year-round tree stewardship with the following activities:
- Winter pruning (January – March)
- Orchard weeding and mulching (April – June)
- Fruitlet thinning and fruit bagging / netting for pest management (May – June)
- Summer pruning (July – August)
- Summer and fall harvest (August – October)
