Join City Fruit to harvest fruit from backyards, and help get it into the hands of those who need it most. Volunteers will meet at a neighborhood hub and dispatch to local residences to meet their fruit growing neighbors, pick ripe fruit, tally pounds for the Great Seattle Fruit Harvest.

7. Queen Anne Community Cider Pressing
City Fruit has expanded the harvest to Queen Anne this year and is hosting the first Queen Anne cider pressing event to celebrate! Bring friends and family just on your way home from the farmers market and introduce yourself. We want to get to know all of our wonderful new neighbors, while making and drinking some amazing apple cider – harvested from the trees in your very own neighborhood.

Grab your friends and walk in solidarity of local and global hunger relief programs. The CROP Hunger Walk has been going strong and supporting our community food program for the last two decades– steps are truly making a difference!

3. Heirloom Apple Tasting at Good Shepherd Center
Get a taste of history by stopping by the Home of the Good Shepherd and sampling the diverse varieties of apples growing on this historic property. Lead Gardener, Tara McDonald, will share the story of the property managed by Historic Seattle and talk about the ongoing fruit tree care and stewardship for the trees in this space.

2. Family Orchard Harvest Day
Family harvest night is an opportunity for kids to volunteer with their families and give back to the community. Bring your family and friends to help City Fruit care for the orchard and help harvest the public fruit trees at Meridian Park to donate to a local food program and feed your neighbors in need.
