1. Why did you decide to join City Fruit?

I’m a certified professional horticulturist and plants are my career and my main hobby. I love gardening but want to use my skills and knowledge to help people, which aligns perfectly with City Fruit. I’m excited to work for an organization committed to providing people with fresh fruit!

2. What occupies your time outside of work?

When I’m not working for City Fruit, I’m gardening for Urban Earth Nursery as their lead gardener. Outside of gardening, I like to stay active through bouldering, weight lifting, yoga, and playing soccer for Rain City Soccer Club. I’m also a big reader and am usually reading a couple of books at once. I love listening to audiobooks while I work, commute, or do chores at home.

3. What’s your favorite fruit?

I love blueberries! They’re a great snack and blueberry plants double as beautiful landscape plants. Whenever a client asks for a plant recommendation for a sunny spot, I recommend blueberries! Just remember, if you want the fruit too you need to plant two.

1. Why did you decide to join City Fruit?
I decided to join City Fruit because I love trees, I love fruit, and I love people! Nothing excites me more than getting to talk to people about their trees and help them learn how to care for them. Community-driven organizations are incredibly important to our city, and I’m proud to be a part of one that I’m passionate about!

2. What occupies your time outside of work?
Outside of work, I spend my time with friends and loved ones, knitting, crafting, reading, and petting my two cats.

3. What’s your favorite fruit?
Like a true Washingtonian, my favorite fruit is Rainier cherries! I can’t get enough of them when they’re in season.
