I know you need fund raisers but there are many like me that simple cannot afford to participate. We can contribute our fruit, labor, love but cannot afford to celebrate with you. It is a wonderful great program and I am very grateful! Meanwhile, I am canning and dehydrating apples, pears, and figs that I picked for my own use and to give to family and friends. So that is celebration enough.

Hi Rose,

Thank you for leaving a comment, and also donating your fruit to our program over the years! Tree owners like you who invite us to your homes and let us pick the fruit are the foundation of our harvest program, and we are grateful of your support through the donated fruit. While it is the fruit that we share with the community, we also need to raise money to keep our operation going, to hire harvesters, purchase equipment, pay for transportation, etc, and we hope to raise enough money from Celebrates in order to sustain and grow our harvest program for coming years. We do offer a variety of other opportunities that are free to tree owners and community members, so we hope you can join us at some of the future events!
