It’s official, the 2020 Great Seattle Fruit Harvest has begun!
Last Friday, our harvesters picked 15 lbs of transparent apples in Queen Anne, and officially kicked off this year’s harvest season. The apples were delivered to FareStart – the first of many more deliveries to come!
Our crew is now harvesting apples and plums daily, and we are excited to be back in action. You can find the plums we harvested earlier this week today, Thursday, July 9th between 2-7pm at Tilth Alliance‘s new Farm Stand at the Rainier Beach Urban Farm and Wetlands that provides low-cost produce for the South Seattle community.
Every piece of fruit we pick represents an opportunity to help our neighbors in need, connect more people to our city’s fruit trees, and bring our community together. Here’s to hoping for another fruitful harvest season!
