We Get By With A Little Help From Our Interns!

The City Fruit team is thrilled to be working with another batch of incredible interns this summer!  We’ve had a long and bountiful relationship with the University of Washington’s College of the Environment, which has allowed us to partner with UW undergraduates looking for service-learning in the fields of urban agriculture, environmental education, and food systems.  We’d like to welcome Ozi, Hannah, and Maria to the team!

City Fruit is also happy to be participating in the City of Seattle’s Teens in Public Service (TIPS) program.  We would like to welcome TIPS intern, Eloise, who will be supporting us with harvest & distribution, and communications programming!

Lastly, we’re excited to welcome Calvin Wu — joining the City Fruit team as a Youth Employment Service Learning (YESL) intern — and Amani Jones — joining from Seattle Youth Employment Program (SYEP).  Thank you to our City of Seattle partners!  Calvin and Amani will be supporting City Fruit’s harvest & distribution, and fruit processing & jam-making programs!

To help introduce the new team of interns, we asked them to share their favorite fruits and what they hope to learn during their summer internships.  Please welcome them to the team!
